In her spare time she likes to backpack the Pacific NW with her trusty pup, ski, cook, tinker in her garden, keep bees, and nerd out on Chinese medicine. You can often find her teaching seminars and workshops around the country on Aroma Acupoint Therapy, wild-crafting, and medicine-making. Maura also is passionate about empowering individuals around their health. She also served as an acupuncturist in rural communities in Nepal. After finishing her Master's, she worked in the People's Republic Hospital in Nanjing, China in internal medicine and pediatrics.

She received her Doctorate from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, Master's degree from Oregon College of Oriental Medicine, Traditional Asian Bodywork and Acupressure certification from the Acupressure Institute in Berkeley, and Bachelor's of Science from Loyola University of Chicago. These experiences motivated her to explore acupuncture and herbal medicine as alternatives to Western medical care. Maura's journey with traditional Asian medicine began after watching her cousin and aunt pass away from breast cancer. She loves treating all patients, with a focus on pain management, women's health, and mental-emotional health. Maura is an acupuncturist, herbalist, and breathwork facilitator. I suggest you have: mat, blanket, eye mask, pillow. However, comfort is key so please bring whatever you need for maximum comfort. Blankets, bolsters, eye masks available to use at the studio while supplies last. There are some enough mats for each participant at the studio. Unfortunately there is no elevator or ramp at this time. *Please note, there is 1 flight of stairs to navigate to event space. *Please arrive 10-15 minutes early in order to get settled so that we may start on time* Doors will be locked shortly after start of event.
